Does this sweet couple look familiar? I had the honor of documenting their maternity session at Tuckahoe Plantation last October. Luke and Blair are dear friends and their precious little baby girl was born on November 4th. Miss Annie is almost 8-months old now… she’s sitting up, babbling, army crawling, and is such a Daddy’s girl! That long, curly red hair… too cute!!
Last night I had the opportunity to visit their beautiful home in Caroline County. It was built in the 1800’s. Luke’s grandparents bought the home in 1963. Over the last 2 years, both Luke and Blair have put countless hours into renovating their home. Ryan and I got the grand tour and it’s absolutely stunning. It’s filled to the brim with history and collectible antiques. Aside from their gorgeous master bathroom complete with a massive shower and beautiful white french tub… I think my favorite room was their screened porch overlooking their backyard, birds chirping, and every now and then hearing the train go by… so relaxing! I bet it’s the perfect spot for morning coffee and a good book. So very proud of all the work they’ve done! I told them they need to submit their “before and after” renovation story to Southern Living magazine! They have several cats roaming the property and they soon hope to get some chickens and ponies (Blair grew up riding horses). The coolest part is many of Luke’s family members all share living on the same street.
We spent some time exploring the grounds of their several acre property and captured some sweet moments with their family. Afterwards, Michael and Annie had a little playdate before bedtime. They were holding hands and swapping toys — it was pretty cute! They met when Annie was only a few weeks old so it was fun to see them interact at 8-months old. Michael slept like a champ while Ry and I enjoyed a delicious meal (shrimp pasta… my favorite!) with Luke, Blair, and Luke’s Grandmother. Just love this family to pieces! Enjoy browsing some favorites from our time together.
