Oliff Family ● Gender Reveal

As a milestone photographer that captures the journey of motherhood, I am so very grateful and beyond blessed to be trusted to photograph some of life’s sweetest moments. Last month I captured my dear friend and her husband telling their precious kiddos that they were going to be a BIG brother and a BIG sister AGAIN! As many of you know, there are many exciting milestones throughout a pregnancy journey… so lots of excitement was to come!

When the time came for the GENDER REVEAL, Emily and Greg had plans to invite their family over for a casual gathering for the BIG announcement! But first, they wanted to share the news privately with their kids, Finley and Tripp. This reveal was particularly exciting because (as of right now…) they do not plan to have anymore children… they have been blessed one bubbly sweet GIRL and one loveable playful BOY so this gender reveal was going to be the tie-breaker! After Emily explained to her kids the many options for them to find out the gender of their soon-to-be sibling, Finley and Tripp chose to bite into deliciously yummy cupcakes with either PINK or BLUE icing inside! So, Emily and Greg got to work making preparations for the big moment (they found out together earlier that week!). I came over yesterday afternoon and we setup a cozy spot on their backyard outdoor patio for the grand revealing!!! It was SO precious!!

Yesterday evening, their beautiful home was filled with a small family gathering. Excitement and anticipation was in the air! Emily was simply glowing! They gathered everyone in their basement to bite into cupcakes for the gender reveal while close friends tuned in virtually via Facebook Live. Everyone then gathered around to watch a slideshow that I had put together of their growing family — a highlight reel from their wedding day, their 1st pregnancy with Finley, their 2nd pregnancy announcement with Tripp, family memories along the way, leading up to the announcement of them growing their tribe with baby #3! I’ve photographed this family for many years now so there were thousands of images to choose from for this slideshow + lots of friendly stalking on social media to fill in the rest of their story. It was the first time Emily and Greg had seen the slideshow so it was so fun to see the love in their tear-filled eyes as they watched. The grand finale of the slideshow was when Finley and Tripp bit into the cupcakes…!!!… their basement roared with cheers, clapping, and tears!!!
