2016 Holiday Mini-Sessions

Hey y’all! Can you believe it’s that time of year again to start registering for holiday mini-sessions?! This summer has flown by and it will be FALL before we know it! I love offering this mini-session special each fall before the busy holiday season kicks in. It’s a great way for me to catch up with returning clients and meet new ones! With my due date fast approaching (due October 21st!), I debated squeezing in these fall minis before my due date. However, not knowing how I’ll be feeling as I near the end of my pregnancy and due to the flexible nature of birth arrival, I decided not to take any chances of booking up my schedule before 10/21 to risk possibly having my little man make an early arrival… That would bring on more stress with rescheduling those sessions all while adjusting with a newborn.

SO! I’m technically breaking the maternity leave rule but… I plan to whip out my gear and a few holiday props for a two-day special for some FUN with you guys! This will give me roughly a month to heal post-delivery and get somewhat into a routine with Michael (fingers crossed!). By mid-November, I’ll be ready to get out of the house for some fun outdoors. Ryan will watch Michael while I’m shooting and our little guy may make an appearance on-site where you can meet him! 🙂

I’m excited to announce that this year’s Holiday Mini-Session will be at the beautiful Tuckahoe Plantation. I hosted my 2014 mini-sessions there and it was a huge hit! That year those mini-sessions sold out fast!! The photos above were all captured at Tuckahoe Plantation! If you booked your holiday mini-session with me back in 2014, don’t worry, we’ll be exploring new areas of Tuckahoe Plantation for your photos. If you’ve never been then you’re in for quite a treat! The property is full of Richmond history with the gardens and beautiful architecture — it is so very charming! It’s a national landmark and the boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson. I’m so very excited that I have the location reserved for these special sessions! We’ll get to explore the gorgeous grounds while capturing some fun lifestyle memories and we’ll have the whole place to ourselves! 🙂

You will receive your images in time to order holiday cards, prints, gifts, fine art products, etc. for your home, family, and friends. The investment includes: 20 minutes of photography coverage, complimentary access to Tuckahoe Plantation, maximum of 5 individuals photographed, digitally enhanced editing to images, access to high-resolution files & print release.

December 4th

*** UPDATE!!! As with all of my specials, clients of Allison Shumate Photography receive VIP access to book their session prior to public announcements. Starting at 8AM this morning, my clients were able to reserve their session before registration went public at 8:30 PM tonight. And… HOLY MOLY!!!… My afternoon timeslots SOLD OUT! To give the public community a chance, I’ve decided to open a few more timeslots so book while you still can! ***

Once your timeslot is chosen, payment has been made, and a contract has been signed, we’ll be all booked! One week prior to your session, I’ll email over a helpful Client Guide which will include tips on what to wear, what to bring, and more details about your session.
