Happy New Year’s Eve y’all!! Now that my clients Christmas cards are out I can finally share with you some of my favorite shots from my 2014 Fall Mini Sessions. This is my second time doing Fall Mini-Sessions (click here for 2013 shots). This seasonal mini-session is more laid back than my Holiday Mini-Session — I don’t bring a bunch of props with me and instead we use the less is more approach and take advantage of the beautiful fall leaves in the background. I also only book a handful of fall-mini sessions since it’s more of a teaser for the Holiday Mini-Session special.
Back in October/November timeframe, we had to juggle with some rainy weather so thankfully my clients were flexible to switch up the day for us to shoot. The weather turned out perfect and I had so much fun meeting and working with two new families! Can’t wait to work with them again in 2015!! Enjoy! 🙂
Meet the Moore Family!
Do they look familiar?? I captured their mini-session portraits in 2013 (seems SO long ago!). I love having returning clients!! Better yet, they’re my neighbors!! Missy and Tim have the CUTEST boys!! I was SO excited when Missy booked me again for 2014 because I knew it would be a fun-filled session. Jacob, Judah, and Josh were a blast to work with! I would make funny faces at them to make them laugh then they would make them back at me and I’d crack up! Their 3o minute session flew by! Loved their coordinating outfits — I have a hunch that Missy gets all the credit for that?! SO glad I could capture some silly memories with them. Missy has already purchased a bunch of prints via her PASS gallery and also ordered a print enlargement for their home — she’s on top of it! Love living next door to the Moore clan — SO very honored to capture their growing family 🙂
“Allison, it has been amazing to work with you. You have been very professional and make it extremely easy for the customer, going above and beyond in every way. Your energy was helpful in focusing our three active boys in the pictures. The pictures of our family were great! You are very talented and I would recommend you to anyone.”

This is SO precious!!! If I do say so myself 🙂
I can’t handle the cuteness!!!
Goofing around! I love Tim’s expression!
Missy and her boys!
Boys will be boys!
Love this!!! I can see them taking this exact photo 10, 15, 30 years from now! 🙂
Meet the Johnston Family!
Melissa’s family is a new client to Allison Shumate Photography. She found my work on Facebook and even knows my mother-in-law 🙂 Loved spending time with her hubby and her two sweet girls. Loved their outfits too — the blue really POPPED against the fall colors. Had fun exploring Meadow Farm with this sweet family!
“My family and I recently did a Mini session at Meadow Farm Park with Allison. Our original date was rained out and she was more than willing to accommodate our schedules when booking the make up date. She was super friendly and got along great with our girls! The experience was really great, but most importantly our pictures turned out fabulous. I can’t wait to give them as gifts this Christmas! We will definitely use her again and recommend her to our friends and family!”

Ooo la la!!
Sweet sisters!! 🙂
There was a stack of hay at Meadow Farm that day — perfect for our Fall Mini-Session 🙂
Meet the Funk Family!
The Funks are new to the Allison Shumate Photography family! They live in the neighborhood next to mine and I was so excited when Jen reached out to me to book. The kids arrived full of energy and they brought along their sweet dog too!! Enjoy some of my favorites from their fun-filled session 🙂
The Ewald Family
I’ve known these sweet girls their whole life!! The Ewalds are dear family friends and it was such a joy to capture some photos in their backyard. Linda reached out to me and explained that she wanted to surprise her husband with a canvas for Christmas. I arrived and the girls were ready to rock n’ roll! The “golden hour” light was gorgeous and the sun was setting fast so we got started right away. I had recently purchased my 85mm 1.4 lens so I was SUPER excited to break it in with taking pictures of these two lovely ladies 🙂
